About Pr Kenneth

Pr Kenneth Chin

Rev. Kenneth Chin, a lawyer by training, has dedicated his life since year 1995 to help inspire people – especially young people – to believe.

In the year 2000, Kenneth founded Acts Church, a dynamic family church that has grown from 3 to nearly 3,000 to date, across 26 churches in 8 nations, with a clear mission to “make disciples who will make the difference”.

Kenneth has been featured and interviewed on a number of occasions in major local newspapers and on national television respectively for his many youth and community developing efforts through AYA and Acts.

As a preacher of the Bible, Pastor Kenneth crosses both international and denominational borders with the message of faith and faithfulness and is fully committed to strengthening believers in and through the local church as true agents of change and hope in this world. He is also a member of the Council of Reference for MAP or Ministries for Asia Pacific.

An interesting & inspiring ‘half-time’ story of his life’s journey can be found in a book entitled “Chin Up”, published in March 2011, followed by a second print and revised version that was sold in major bookstores by August of the same year.

His first twitter message was on 25th August 2009, followed 2 days later with his entry into the world of Facebook. However, he decided to exit the world of Facebook in early 2018.

Actspedition to Osaka, Japan (24 - 29 May)

Japan has been on Pastor Kenneth’s heart for the past 29 years. However, only in the 27th year (i.e. year 2016) that the Lord allowed him to step foot in that land. As he constantly seeks the Lord regarding planting a work in Japan, the Lord has recently confirmed that it will be in Osaka. Pastor is hoping to start something in the 30th year (i.e. year 2019), only if God permits.

Appreciate your prayer for Pastor and the team in their Actspedition to Osaka. This will be his 3rd trip to Osaka but this round, he is bringing a potential church-planter with him. They will be visiting a local university, meeting up with real estate agents to find a suitable apartment, and perhaps catching up with a pastor friend too. May every step be led by His Holy Spirit!
