In 2007, 35 volunteers of Asian Youth Ambassadors (AYA) drove down to Panchor in Muar District, Johor with a mission to bless 8 primary schools that had been affected by floods during the preceding year.

The project titled ‘Project Ke-Cheer-iaan’ (Project Cheer) saw 214 year six students receiving cash contributions for the purchase of revision books, while gift packages containing school stationery and cookies (sponsored by YOSOGO Writing Instrument Sdn Bhd and The Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookie Corp (M) Sdn Bhd) were also handed out.

The funds raised as part of the 2007 AYA festival held in Bukit Jalil were truly a source of cheer to the schools, children and surrounding community of Johor.
