What is “GOOD”?

To be good is to rise above;
To be good is to go beyond;
To be good is to have purpose;
To be good is to give your all.

为善，是要超越；
为善，是要跨越；
为善，是心有目标；
为善，是完全献上。

When we stretch forth our hands to say a prayer of blessings for someone, we can be sure that good things are in store for them and for us.

当我们为一个人伸出双手祈祷时，可以肯定的是 – 美好的事情将包围那个人和自己。

Loving God is an art.

I see that He creates life to not be monochromatic, but a spectrum of colours. Everyone has their personal mixture of colours. And everyone has their times of trials. But no matter how hard the situation one may faced, in the end, it is going to be a beautiful picture. All things will be good because God is working. And while waiting for that good testimony, we can hope by holding on to the good that has already happened.

生命本身就是好艺术

爱神，是一门艺术。 我看见神创造生命用的并非是单色调，而是丰富的色彩。每个人都有自己的颜色。每个人也有自己面临考验的时刻。但无论一个人所面临的境况有多艰辛，到最后，生命所呈现的将会是一幅美丽的画面。因为神在为我们运行，所以凡事都会是美好的。当我们等待那美好的见证实现时，我们要记得生命中那些已经存在的美好。

这段经文提醒了我，生活中经历的每一件事不管好坏都有神的旨意。在我经历困难的时候，我知道神会使用每一件事来帮助我们成长，转换我们的观点，让我们看见希望。所以当我们在低谷时，不要忘记神一直都在动工，为我们的未来做准备，好让我们成为祂想要我们成为的样式。

This Scripture reminded me that everything we go through in life, no matter how good or bad, has a purpose in God. Whenever I face difficulties, I know that God is using the experience to help me grow, change my perspective, so I could understand hope. Hence whenever we are in the valley, let’s not forget that God is working things out. Let’s prepare for the future, and become who He desires us to be.

At times when we feel like we are trapped in a dead forest, do we still hold on to His Words that say, “All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose”? Amidst the dead forest, the sky is till blue and the sun still shines. Sometimes all we need to do is to wait on the Good Lord and we will see life sprouting again.

有时候，当我们觉得自己犹如被困于一座死寂的森林里时，我们是否仍坚信这句话 “万事都互相效力，叫爱上帝的人得益处，就是按祂旨意被召的人。” 呢？ 尽管身陷于死寂的森林里，天空仍是蔚蓝的，太阳也仍然普照大地。很多时候，我们需要做的，就仅是等候那位良善的主，然后就会看见生命再次发芽。

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 It is such a privilege that we are called by our Lighthouse – Jesus, to be the light of the world. Through good works, we navigate the lost to the Glorious Light of the world.

“你们是世上的光。城造在山上是不能隐藏的。 人点灯，不放在斗底下，是放在灯台上，就照亮一家的人。” 马太福音 5:14-16 能够被我们的 ‘灯塔’ – 耶稣 – 呼召来做世上的光，这是我们的荣幸。透过行善，我们帮助迷失的人走向那荣美世界的光。

“You are my Lord. Every good thing I have comes from You.” Psalms 16:2 Therefore, all good things are meant to be shared. Since I have freely receive, I will freely give.

“ 祢是我的主，我的福气惟独从祢而来” 诗篇 16:2 因此，所有的福气都应该共享的。我白白领受，也应白白给予。

Sunny or gloomy, bright or dark, He still has not lost us yet. Dawn or dusk, sunshine or rainfall, He is still in control. When the weather calls us to keep safe in our comfort zone, we as Christians can still go out and be a blessing, like dancing in the rain. Though the journey ahead might seem hazardous, but wherever we go, God’s protection is still good, and we do not need an “umbrella” just to cover our purposes and callings. Let us keep wandering in God’s amazing plan for each of us

无论晴天或阴天，光明或黑暗，我们仍在祂手中。 日出或日落，阳光普照或狂风大雨，祂仍然掌权。 当天气催逼我们停步于舒适区里时，身为基督徒的我们仍然可以踏出去造福他人，这就像在大雨中翩翩起舞一般。 尽管眼前的路看似满布荆棘，但不管我们走到哪里，神的眷顾仍是美好的，我们不需要有把‘雨伞’来为自己的目标和呼召护航。 让我们继续在神赐予我们那美妙的计划中自由地漫游!

Good is favor, acceptance, positivity … but sometimes, good also lay in the unexpectable. Rest assured, good always creates an impact and influences the surrounding.

美好的事物往往包括恩宠，接纳，正面的… 可是有时候，美好的事物也隐藏于那不可预测的。放心，美好的事物对周围的影响力是永久的。

Like how the sunflower looks to the sun, let’s keep our eyes focus on the Son so that we will not feel so heavy laden. God’s goodness is both my lifeline and safety net. It is a promise I hold fast to especially when the going gets tough and when I can’t make sense of what’s happening around me and to me. After I heard two songs that speaks to me about God’s goodness – Nichole Nordeman’s “You are Good” and Audrey’s Assad “Good to Me” – I decided to integrate the word “good” in my everyday life, at my digital portals, to remind myself of God’s goodness and sovereignty. And it has been good.

正如太阳花面向太阳，让我们继续定睛于圣子，好让我们心里不再感觉沉重。神的美好是我的生命线，也是我的安全网。这是我紧抓住的一个应许，尤其当我面临逆境时，当我完全不能明白身旁的事情和那些发生在自己身上的事情。 当我听了两首让我想起神的美好的歌曲后 – Nichole Nordeman 的 “You are Good (祢是神)” 和 Audrey Assad 的 “Good to Me (对我好)” – 我就决定把 ‘美好’ 这词融于自己每一天的生活里，在自己的电子平台，以提醒自己要记得神的美好和主权。这一路走来，都是好的。

Writing calligraphy requires a quiet and a patient heart. With that, I was able to reflect on God’s goodness. Indeed, our God never fails. My hope is that people will be able to experience this written word personally – to love God, to do His will, and to experience His goodness.

书法要求写字的人有一颗安静和有耐性的心。正因如此，我有机会默想神的良善。真的，我们的神从未让我们失望过。我希望人们有机会亲身体验这段话语 – 去爱上帝，行祂的旨意和体验祂的良善。
