Influence is Power

Influence is power. It’s greater than “impact” or even “inspiration”. One might say that he has been impacted or inspired and yet show no evident change in his life, behaviour or actions. But one cannot be said to have been influenced if there is no real change – whether it be for good or evil. Such is the power of influence and it is power that has been entrusted to the influencer by the people he has influence over.

Influence doesn’t need proximity – as one can be influenced from afar. It doesn’t need words – as influence can be transferred through silence. It doesn’t even need any real relationship – even though the investment of relationship can be the very root that holds influence through the hard times and grows it through the seasons.
